What is the NJBB? It is a pleasureable learning experience which stimulates and encourages ambition, and which has been offered annually since 1976. One hundred and thirty musicians aged from 12 to 22 years take up the challenge. What does the NJBB do? By means of sectional and full band practises, a concert programme of a high level is prepared. Specialised courses, conferences and theory lessons including group work all combine to complete a varied learning experience. In addition to a musical education, we try to instruct and guide the talented young people towards individual responsibility and behaviour appropriate für a good musician and also to have a good team spirit. The courses finish with a series of gala concerts in several different Swiss towns or cities. Key events during the existance of the NJBB.
